Description

These are just the bits I'm using to convert a Cronos out of the spare parts that come in the box for the Talos. Of course there are a lot of tentacles and spare heads to choose from, but the torso, "hip", and back plate armor were a bit more of a challenge. For the torso I used a platic bone finger from a toy I had lying around, and then used a bit of green stuff to give it more distinguishable pectorals and adbominals, as well as a few "sockets" for its various canisters. For the "hip" I used the head of a Happy Meal Ben Ten toy, Swampfire I think is its name, which I just found on the floor in London xD. The back plate I had to make from scratch with platicard, which I made basically out of two pieces which I bent into shape and glued together, and to make the middle less apparent I covered with smaller plasticard "scales", then I just used a hand drill (or dremell with a sandpaper head) to smooth out some parts. My intention was to make the back plate a bit bigger, but I lost sense of proportions it seems.

I still like the style though, and I justify him looking smaller by the stats in the codex showing that Cronos are significantly weaker than Talos, so they should seem a bit smaller or scrawnier at least. Then I just attached the back plate to the torso with an abundant ammount of greenstuff, and used some spare rubber cable I had from a Spawn toy (Red Spawn Assassin girl if you're curious, I also used her cannon to make a Venom) to represent the protruding spine, and a bit of wire to represent the cable you see running through the spine, tail and tentacles of the Talos or Cronos.

Once everything is together I just did some kitbashing and added as many bits as I could, check out the end results:

P.S. I did make some changes on the "hip" to look better with the rest of the model, just in case you notice som incongruences with the end result.
